Ultimate guide to: Losing Weight for Summer 2013 {EDITED}
Ok so its a new year and everyone is saying "new year, new me." That is probably the most annoying saying ever. Ultimately people fail their new years resolutions and they don't stick to them. Losing weight was always on my list. Every year I said "I'm going to lose weight for summer and have the best summer ever!" Skip to 3 years later and none of it has come true(although summer 2010 was by far my favorite). I really sat down with myself and realized all my past problems: I had no plan. I would motivate myself the first week of the year, but not do anything and not plan. I would just imagine and wish what I would like when summer rolled around. Skip to summer: I was upset that I didn't stick to my goals and didn't lose weight. I know I'm not the only like this. This year I am not doing stupid crash diets and I actually have a plan.

Creating a plan:
Creating an exercise plan for yourself is hard and I tried it in the past. This is why I recommend 'BLOGILATES' to people. Blogilates is owned by Cassey Ho who teaches pilates. She is honestly the best and her program works very well for me. Its simple and free. This sounds really cheesy but I have actually had fun a couple times while working out to some of her videos and I laugh at myself when I try to keep up with her dance videos. The thing about blogilates and what makes it special is that every month she creates a calender with names of workout videos she puts on her youtube. Its keeps you doing different things everyday and not the same old, boring thing. All you do is go to her website and sign up for a newsletter and in the newsletter is the password to gain access to the calender.

If you can't keep with the blogilates calender its ok. I don't do every single video and I still have been losing weight. If you can do at least one video that is still perfect(something is better than nothing!). Motivation:
To lose weight we need to motivated and have support. Most people look for thinspo but I don't really find some of it healthy. If you want to find someone to look up to then look at celebrities who are healthy and fit like Miley Cyrus or the victoria secret models.
 
For support, I have my fitness tumblr where I can ask them questions and hear what others go through and how the made it through. Its honestly really helpful for me to stay motivated.

Diet:
Your diet is what you eat, regardless if it is junk food or not. To lose weight you need to eat healthier because you can do as much cardio as you want but you will just gain it back if you are eating nothing, but junk food and pastries all day. I know it is impossible to cut some foods out so instead of cutting them out just limit them to 2 or 3 times a week. For example, I use to eat pizza everyday at school. When I started to make changes in my eating habit I started eating pizza only four days, then three, two, one, and then I stopped eating pizza everyday. It was a slow gradual process, but it happened. Somethings you should honestly cut out for good. Its always great to do research about the foods you eat and like. I learned a lot about soda that has made me stop drinking it.
 
When it comes to meats I learned not to eat so much fried meets and other fried foods. I learned that instead of frying food I could bake it, grill it , or broil it. I also learned to start eating healthy I must involve myself in the part of shopping for it. I live with just my mom so I do most of the picking out of food. I usually head straight for the fruit and veggies section now. It also doesn't hurt to be apart of the cooking, unless you hate cooking.
 
Try to get support from friends and family but, don't try to force your lifestyle on them and go on about how unhealthy they are.

01) NEVER SKIP MEALS!!!
02) Always eat breakfast
03) Make your plate 1/2 veggies or fruit(or both!) 1/2 meat and 1/2 grains
04) Make fruits and veggies easy to access instead of chips and cookies
05) Limit pops and juices and drink more water( add a lemon to add some flavor )
06) Don't add extra salt and sugar to your foods
07) Stop eating when you are full.
08) Learn the difference between good fats and bad fats
09) Limit the junk food and eating out
10) Do not deprive yourself but do not overindulge

Saturday) oatmeal with cinnamon and blueberries
Sunday) half of a bagel with wipped cheese cream

Lunch-
Monday) Peanut butter and toast with strawberries
Tuesday) Honeyham sandwhich with lettuce and tomato on rye bread. Add some sunchips on the side
Wednesday) Veggie salad with tomato, cucumbers, olives, and carrots
Thursday) PB&J with strawberries and banana in the middle and baked chips
Friday) Veggie pizza
Saturday) grilled chicken sandwhich
Sunday) Tomato soup

Dinner-
Monday) grilled chicken teriyaki with brown rice and steamed vegetables
Tuesday) salmon with lettuce and brown rice
Wednesday) steak fajitas with veggies and beans
Thursday) Salad with romaine lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, and add vinagrette dressing
Friday) tortillas with whole-wheat tortilla bread
Saturday) lean sirloin steak with green beans
Sunday) over-roasted turkey and broccoli

Timing: (estimated time ranges)
Breakfast- 6-7(school mornings.) 8-10(weekends)

Lunch- A lot of schools have different timings and different lunch periods. My school has 3 for the high school and mine is the last and the latest at 12:50 then it ends at 1:15. Some people may have lunch at 11:50 like my friend. Its sorta weird but lunch times vary for many people. Try to eat lunch at 12-2 on the weekend

Dinner- 5-6. If you are getting home late or have practices or clubs try to eat dinner between 6-8. Do not skip dinner!

Snack- you can have two different snacks twice a day. After school snacks depend on what time you get out of school. If you want to have a midmorning snack make sure its something simple like nuts or a special k snack bar and try to eat it between classes(Do not rush, if you don't finish that is ok.) or eat in a class where the teacher doesn't mind as long as you clean up your mess(if you make one) and you throw away your scraps.

{TIPS} How to be like those "hipster" girls on tumblr.
I'm about 1000% sure you know what girls I'm talking about. You see them at school, parties, and mostly the internet. They are the tumblr "hipster" girl. Now I don't know the official name for them so I just refer to them as "tumblr 'hipster' girls". Anyone can dress/be like them. They are mostly thin, tan, and blonde but do you have to be those things? NOPE! You can keep your appearance just the way it is.
 
FASHION<3
Now most of these girls wear shorts, dresses, skirts, and leggings. If its summer you can tweak it like adding leggings or tights. Crop tops/bandeaus are super popular. Over-sized shirts are a must and so are over-sized sweaters. Collars! Collars are the new popular trend and I personally love it. When it comes to getting the look, the shorter the better. You don't to get the shortest-shorts that are SO SHORT that they look like underwear. The dresses are cute little mini dresses. Studs and denim are another must-have! Denim jackets and jeans are something you should look for. They look even better with studs, you can even do some DIYS to add studs shorts and jackets.

HAIR<3
A lot of the girls have long, shiny hair but you don't have to have super long hair. BUT! You should aim for healthy shiny hair. Hair bleaching, dying, and dip dying were the talk of the summer. Its was everywhere, even celebrities were doing it. Try to limit dying and bleaching your hair. If you want to add different colors. Use hair chalk or the hair coloring spray. Its not permanent and it will be better on your hair. Try new hairstyles like braids, waves, and bangs.

The makeup is really simple. Most of the girls aim for a barbie look. The look is just foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and a nude lipstick. The eyeshadow is usually just one color thats pretty simple. Personally I do not like nude lipstick, but you may like it. Just try it out and see how it looks.

Party Outfit Ideas {Winter/Fall Edition}
Christmas- I think just about everyone who celebrates Christmas knows the Christmas colors: Red, Green, and White. The outfit suggestion is great because you can wear it to a family get together and a friends christmas party. Its a nice casual outfit and a way to keep warm.
 
Halloween- I know a lot of girls like dress up revealingly, but if you live in a colder climate, I think outfits that include longsleeves and long dresses is your best bet. If you have a dress or skirt wear thick tights to keep warm.
 
Night/"wild" parties- These are the parties that happen on a Friday or Saturday night and has everyone talking on Monday at school. Of course if you get invited you want to impress(espcially if its your first party!). From my experience, many people don't have a lot of parties in the winter because of snow and people don't always have a way to get there, unlike in the Summer when they can walk, so there are more parties in fall than winter. But that is just from my experience and where I live! I think a crop-top paired with a studded denim jacket is best because you are going to be daing and you are going to get pretty hot(especially with everyone dancing close). A skirt is also a good way to go or maybe if you aren't going to dance a lot then jeans or "jeggings" are fine. Be careful with your shorts, wear spanxs underneath because you don't want to be the girl who had her underwear hanging out at a party(I've heard too many stories like this at school >.<). Converse or any other sneakers are great if you are going to be dancing. You don't want your feet to hurt the next day. For the make-up you should focus on one area. If you want attention drawn to your eyes, wear eye shadow that pops. Don't cake on makeup and don't put foundation all over your face unless you have a good one that one run when you begin to sweat from dancing.
 
Casual- This is perfect for when a club you are in (drama, art, etc.) have a little party/get together. Its nothing to flashy, its just plain and simple. Don't go dramatic on the makeup, keep at a minimum.

{RANT} I'm not upset with myself
I really hate it when self proclaimed "body positive" people bash people from wanting to lose weight. I see it all the time on tumblr. Why bash someone for trying to lose weight or be healthier? I am currently trying to lose weight and eat healthier. I am not doing this to feel better about myself, I am doing this because i need a lifestyle change. Eating junk food 24/7 is not something I want to do.
 
I am not going to let someone's words stop me from trying to losing some weight. I am not harming myself by exercising and eating healthy. I don't have ridiculous goals like losing 60 pounds in a month. No, I am trying to make a better lifestyle for myself and there is nothing wrong with that. I'm OK with myself regardless if I weight 170 pounds or 110 pounds.
